RMA STRONG IN QUEBEC CITY
It was well worth the 9 hour
drive to Quebec City for 4 Barrie martial
artists who gave their best and were
well rewarded. The 4
karate students who train under Sensei
Craig Ridout at RMA Karate gave a strong
showing and were pleased with
their personal results at the Quebec Open
competition.
15-year-old black belt Tressa
Y continues to tweak her forms placing
first in continuous sparring, third in
point
sparring, fourth in
traditional kata, fifth in her remaining
divisions of creative open, musical
weapon, extreme
weapon, creative weapon,
traditional weapon, musical open and
extreme open.
11-year-old brown belt
Samantha M placed second in continuous
sparring, third in musical weapons, third
in
musical forms, third in
creative forms, third in point sparring,
fifth in traditional weapons and fifth in
traditional kata.
15-year-old blue belt Tyler
M-AZ placed first in traditional weapons,
first in creative weapons, second in
kata,
second in continuous sparring
and fifth in point sparring.
Younger sibling green belt Brooke Z
placed third in
traditional weapons, third in
kata, third in point sparring and fifth
in creative forms.
The four continue to fine
tune their forms to ready themselves for
the upcoming Canadian karate nationals
taking
place in Ottawa next
