Karate Centres of Barrie
is a family oriented
school that teaches the
art of karate
(empty hand) and Wushu
through the many programs
our school offers. RMA
sets itself
apart from the other
martial arts schools in
the Barrie area by truly
being a family karate
school. RMA is family
owned, family run and
family friendly.
At RMA we pride ourselves

they like to do, how
their grades are, where
they work, and so on. Our

Our school is staffed
with reception, full-time
and part-time
professional martial arts
instructors and full-time
personal fitness trainer.

Association, World Karate
& Kickboxing Council
Canada, Wushu
Ontario and the
International Alliance of
Martial Arts Schools.
We offer many programs
that help people from all
walks of life. If you are
a parent looking
for a good structured
environment for your
child where words like
respect, self discipline,
focus and self confidence
are practiced like second
nature by our young
students, than
look no further! Our
Children's program was
designed to teach these
things while
learning practical self
defense should they
someday have to use it.
We do not give away our
belts! Our students work
hard for what they get,
and know first
hand the feeling of
accomplishment! We love
seeing the life lessons
that are automatically
taught just by practicing
the martial arts.
Our classes are
structured by age and
belt level, with a
special program just for
children
3-5 years old. In our
school no student sits on
the bench, everybody
participates. With
our low
student/instructor ratio,
every student gets the
individual attention they
deserve
with our instructors. Our
classes are lead by the
best qualified and
certified instruction
available. At RMA you
will not see one black
belt at the head of the
class but up to three
certified black belts in
class instructing our
students with expert
instruction.

Community Programs
Our
community programs
include free family
self-defense and safety
workshops four times
a year, free family
fitness bootcamps, free
elementary school
physical education
programs
and food bank drives. RMA
Karate Centres believes
having a citizenship
attitude is what
makes the difference to
our Barrie families.
Through the dedication of
our staff and the support
of our students, we are
privileged to
participate in several of
worthwhile programs and
initiatives in our
communities every year.
CPAO WheelChair Relay:
RMA supports the annual
CPAO WheelChair Relay. We
proudly participate in
this event every year
with the number of RMA
students participating
continually increasing!
RMA continues to work
with Simcoe County
schools to offer free
fitness bootcamps to
students in grade six
through eight during
their PDA time.
Self-Defense & Safety
Workshops: Instructors
and students continue to
provide free family
self-defense and safety
workshops. RMA staff with
the support of it's
students provides these
workshops four times a
year every year.
Drives: RMA continues to
hold community drives
including foodbank and
clothes drives

our Facility
Our
facility located minutes
away from Barrie's
Georgian College serves
families of Barrie,
Midhurst, Oro and beyond.
Students train on a sport
foam floor renowned for
its shock absorption,
resiliency and fast
response. Similar to that
of a gymnastics floor it
provides students with
the perfect combination
of ability to perform
kata easily while also
providing a safe training
environment.
Our school provides
separate mens and ladies
changerooms, washroom
facilities and a
comfortable viewing area
allowing parents to
easily watch their child
while they take class.
For
parents who want to
unwind they can sit back
while watching
television. Family
friendly shows
are always on for
everyone to watch.
Reception is there to
answer any questions you
may have or to place
equipment orders.
Our facility is always
kept clean, is warm and
very welcoming. Ample
parking is available at
both the front, side and
back of the building.
Payment
Policy
RMA
accepts cash, personal
cheque and online credit
card payments for payment
of membership
tuition. Membership
lengths vary from 3, 6 or
12 month commitments.
Refunds due to lack of
attendance are not
provided however
memberships may be put on
hold due to medical
reasons.
24 Hours cancellation
notice is required when
cancelling a private or
semi-private lesson.
Re-bookings are not
provided for private
or semi-private lessons
that are not cancelled by
24
hours before their
scheduled time. Refunds
are not provided.
